TROVITA
Branding this ethically sourced homewares company was a real pleasure. When I was approached by Tara, the founder of Trovita, I was volunteering at a pop-up shop that also had a small range of ethically sourced pieces of furniture and so I had a very small insight into the need for such mindful companies. Tara is passionate that every piece of furniture she has sourced has been made in an ethical way, with all the funds spent on procuring each item going to the people, and families, that have made them. Tara goes to visit the workrooms and workers herself in order to maintain this ethical chain.
When Tara talked to me about her process, which is not a quick or simple one, and she explained how every item is made by hand I first of all thought of weaving. The main logo comes from that initial concept. The intricate nature of the weave represents not only the companies process of sourcing but also the lives that overlap one-another from the item first being created to it sitting in our homes.
